The short answer

Can you export a Credit One credit card statement to Excel?

Not directly. Credit One’s help pages cover statements, Posted Activity and paperless documents, but none of them documents a CSV, Excel, QuickBooks or Quicken download. What you can save is the billing statement as a PDF, from Documents & Statements in your online account or the Credit One app. Converting that PDF gives you the Excel, CSV or QuickBooks file.

Credit One keeps your most recent 24 months of billing statements available online, and says that stays true even if you turn paperless off. Past that, statements you saved yourself are the record. Posted Activity shows the transactions that have posted, including payments and credits, but only on screen.

A Credit One statement has no running balance, so each converted cycle is checked against the account summary: previous balance, minus payments and credits, plus purchases, cash advances, fees and interest, must equal the new balance.

Watch for this

No download, and a closing date that moves every month

Credit One’s online account shows Posted Activity on screen, but its help pages document no CSV, Excel or Quicken download, so the 24 months of PDF statements under Documents & Statements are the only file you can save. Those statements do not follow calendar months: Credit One says the statement closing date may vary from month to month while the payment due date stays fixed, so one cycle can be 29 days and the next 32. Copying activity off the screen by date range almost never lines up with a statement. And on cards whose annual fee is billed monthly, a fee line appears in every single cycle, which has to come through as a fee row rather than be dropped as noise.

Step by step

How to convert a Credit One credit card statement

  1. 1Save the statement PDFs from Credit OneSign in at creditonebank.com and choose Documents & Statements from the site menu, or open Documents & Statements in the Credit One app. Save each billing statement you need.
  2. 2One card per batchIf you have two Credit One cards, keep each card’s statements together. They are separate accounts with separate closing dates.
  3. 3Upload and convertSign in to VouchRow and add the PDFs. Digital statements convert in batches. A scanned paper statement is read with OCR, one at a time. A password-protected PDF is unlocked in your browser; the password is never sent.
  4. 4Check each cycle against the summaryThe rows must add back up to the account summary. If they do, the cycle shows as balanced. If not, VouchRow shows the difference, and clicking any row shows its line on the PDF.
  5. 5ExportExcel or CSV to review, QBO for a QuickBooks credit card account, QFX or QIF for Quicken, or the Xero CSV preset.

Credit One credit card statement to Excel

An .xlsx with one row per transaction: reference, transaction date, posting date, description and a signed amount. Amounts are written from your side of the card: purchases, fees and interest negative, payments and credits positive (the reverse of how the statement prints them). The previous balance minus the sum of the amount column equals the new balance.

Convert all 24 statements Credit One keeps online in one batch, then filter the description for the annual fee and interest to see what the card cost over two years.

Why it works

Built around how Credit One bills a card

Monthly fees kept as rows

On cards where the annual fee is billed in monthly installments, the fee appears in every cycle. Each one comes through as its own fee row, ready to label.

The summary is the proof

Previous balance, payments, credits, purchases, fees, interest and the new balance are read as the cycle’s totals and kept out of the rows.

Cycles that do not match months

The closing date can move from month to month. Each statement converts as exactly the period Credit One billed, so cycles join end to end without gaps or overlaps.

Card signs, read as a card

Payments and credits print with a minus sign. They come out as credits to the card in every format, not as charges.

Two years of statements, one batch

All 24 statements Credit One keeps online convert together, with one file per statement.

Every row traced to its line

Click a row and the PDF opens at the line it came from, which is what a dispute, a lender or a court will ask to see.

Checked before export

A misread digit is caught on its own row

Every conversion is tested against the statement: the running balance on every row, page subtotals, opening plus movement against closing, the printed credit and debit totals, and the transaction count. When a number does not add up, VouchRow names the row and highlights the line it came from on the PDF.

Arithmetic only: it verifies amounts, balances and totals, not descriptions or dates, and two errors that cancel out would pass. The source-line link covers the rest.

Layout

How a Credit One credit card statement is laid out

Credit One does not publish a sample statement or a “how to read your statement” page, so check the details below against your own. Page one carries the account summary (previous balance, payments, other credits, purchases, cash advances, fees charged, interest charged and new balance) and the payment information: new balance, minimum payment due and the payment due date. None of these lines are transactions.

The transactions follow in a table with a reference number, a transaction date, a posting date, a description and an amount. Purchases are listed together, and payments, credits and adjustments are grouped separately with a minus sign. Federal rules (Regulation Z) then require fees to be grouped under a Fees heading and interest under Interest Charged, each with a total for the period and for the calendar year to date. The year-to-date totals look like a short transaction list but are a summary.

An interest charge calculation table closes the statement: each balance type with its annual percentage rate, the balance subject to interest rate and the interest charge. Those are rates and averages, not activity, and are left out of the rows.

Fees

Annual fees billed monthly on Credit One cards

Some Credit One cards bill the annual fee in monthly installments. Credit One’s current pricing summary includes, for example, “$99 annually (billed at $8.25 per month)” after the first year, and another card with a $120 fee “billed at $10 per month”. On other cards the annual fee is billed in one amount when the account is opened. Which applies depends on your card’s terms.

For a converted statement, a monthly fee installment is a real charge and belongs in the rows, under fees. Across a year of statements, filtering on that description adds up what the card actually cost, which is often the reason someone wants Credit One statements in Excel in the first place.

Statement date

Credit One statement dates and billing cycles

Credit One says the statement closing date may vary from month to month, while the payment due date stays the same day each month. You can change the due date in the app under Settings, then Profile, then Payment Due Date, and online in your account settings. Credit One does not publish how often you can change it or how the closing date moves with it.

For a conversion, this means a statement is the only reliable boundary for a cycle. Each converted file covers exactly the dates Credit One billed, and the next statement starts where the last one closed. The year on each row comes from the statement closing date, so a cycle that runs from December into January puts each row in the right year.

Two dates per row

Transaction date or posting date

A Credit One statement prints two dates for each transaction: when you made it and when it posted. A purchase on the last evening of a cycle can carry a transaction date in one statement period and post in the next. Pick one date basis for all of your converted statements and keep to it, or month-end totals will drift by a few rows.

For bookkeeping, the posting date matches the statement period and makes each cycle tie to its summary on its own. For expense reports and budgets, the transaction date matches your receipts. Both dates are kept in the converted file, so you can choose at export.

Troubleshooting

Common Credit One conversion problems

Most Credit One errors come from the summary, the fees and the cycle dates.

  • Extra rows at the top of every statement: the account summary was read as transactions. Those lines are the cycle totals.
  • Payments show as purchases: the minus sign on payments and credits was read the bank-account way. On a card, minus is a credit to you.
  • The monthly fee is missing: it sits in the Fees group, not among purchases. It has to be kept as a row or the cycle will not balance.
  • Year-to-date totals among the transactions: the fees and interest year-to-date lines are a summary, not activity.
  • Statements stop two years back: Credit One keeps 24 months online. Older cycles are only in PDFs you saved.
  • Rows in the wrong month: the closing date moves, so cycles do not match calendar months. Convert by statement, not by date range.

Before you import

After converting a Credit One statement, check these

  • The cycle balancesPrevious balance plus the rows equals the new balance on the account summary. If not, the difference is shown.
  • Payments are creditsYour payments and any returns come out positive in the export (credits to the card in QuickBooks), not as charges.
  • The fee is thereIf your card bills its annual fee monthly, there is a fee row in every cycle.
  • No summary rowsNo account summary lines and no year-to-date totals among the transactions.
  • Cycles join upEach statement starts the day after the previous one closed, even though the closing date moves.
  • One date basisTransaction date or posting date, chosen once and used for every statement.

Downloaded activity and statements are not the same thing

Every large US bank offers two different exports, and people reach for the wrong one constantly. Downloadable account activity — CSV, and often QFX or OFX — covers a recent window, typically a few months, and stops. Statements are PDFs, are issued per period, and go back years. If you need last March, the activity export will not have it and the statement will; converting the PDF is how that gap is closed.
Suggested format

Excel for Credit One

Most Credit One cardholders want a readable list of charges, fees and interest for budgeting, a dispute or a loan file. Excel keeps every cycle as rows with the fees visible, and QBO is there when the card is used for a business.

FAQ

Credit One statements: questions

How do I export a Credit One credit card statement to Excel?

Credit One documents no Excel or CSV download. Save the billing statement PDF from Documents & Statements and convert it here to Excel or CSV. Each cycle is checked against the account summary.

Can I download Credit One transactions?

Credit One’s Posted Activity shows posted transactions, including payments and credits, on screen, but its help pages describe no download file. Converting the statement PDFs is how you get the transactions as a file.

How far back can I see Credit One statements?

Credit One keeps your most recent 24 months of billing statements available online, under Documents & Statements. Anything older is only in statements you saved.

Where do I find my Credit One statements?

Sign in at creditonebank.com and choose Documents & Statements from the site menu or the top of most pages. The Credit One app has a Documents & Statements section as well.

Why does my Credit One statement date change?

Credit One says the statement closing date may vary from month to month, while the payment due date stays the same each month. That is why cycles do not line up with calendar months.

What does a Credit One statement look like?

Credit One does not publish a sample. A statement opens with the account summary and payment information, then the transactions with reference number, transaction date, posting date, description and amount, then fees and interest charged with year-to-date totals, and an interest charge calculation table.

Can I import a Credit One card into QuickBooks or Quicken?

Credit One does not document a QuickBooks or Quicken download. Convert the statement PDF to QBO for QuickBooks or QFX for Quicken, and import it into the card account. Each row carries a transaction ID, so a repeat import does not duplicate.

My Credit One statement PDF has a password. Can I still convert it?

Yes. Enter the password when you upload. The PDF is unlocked in your browser and the password is never sent to us.
