VouchRow vs Documentric

The closest competitor to what we are building — a newer cloud converter positioned as the cheaper DocuClipper, with QBO, CSV and Excel exports and a growing set of bank pages.

Choose them

Pick Documentric if…

Choose Documentric if your bank is covered by one of their pages and not by ours, or if CSV, Excel and QBO are the only formats you will ever need.

Choose us

Pick VouchRow if…

Choose us if you need a format they do not publish, want to be told which row broke rather than that the statement did not balance, or want the lower price at the same volume.

Published prices

Price per page, side by side

Monthly prices are not comparable when the allowances differ, so the per-page rate is worked out from each vendor’s own published numbers.

What Documentric does better

They are ahead of us on content and coverage

Their site has been indexed for longer and has more bank pages than ours. If you search for your bank by name, you may find their page before ours today.

Vertical pages that speak to a profession

They write for accountants, lenders, family law and financial investigators specifically rather than for "everyone with a PDF". That is a genuinely better way to sell this, and we followed them on it rather than pretending otherwise.

A clear, well-documented QuickBooks path

They document their QBO export and both the QuickBooks Online and Desktop import routes. That is more than most tools in this category bother to explain.

Where we differ

Eight formats against three

Their published exports are CSV, Excel and QBO, and their site says IIF is not a focus. We add QFX, OFX, QIF, IIF and Tally XML. If you are on Quicken, on QuickBooks Desktop needing IIF, or on Tally, they do not currently have a format for you.

Reconciliation at the row, not the total

Their published check is an aggregate one — opening plus net movement against the printed closing balance. Ours walks the running balance row by row, falls back to page subtotals and then to printed totals, and names the first row where the ledger breaks. An aggregate check tells you something is wrong; this tells you where.

Only pages with transactions are counted

Their published rule is that every page of the uploaded PDF counts. Ours counts a page only when it produces at least one transaction, so cover pages, terms and conditions and blank backs come out of nobody’s allowance.

About 20% cheaper at every matched tier

We deliberately matched their page volumes so the comparison is arithmetic rather than argument: $15 against $19 at 300 pages, $39 against $49 at 900, $99 against $129 at 2,500. Extra pages come in prepaid packs here at $0.06 to $0.08 a page, against their published $0.10 overage.

The thing we cannot offer

We are new. DocuClipper, MoneyThumb and ProperSoft have been doing this for years and have the reviews to show for it; we do not. What we can offer instead of a track record is a product that checks its own work in the open — every row tested against the statement’s balance, the source line one click away — and that tells you when it is unsure rather than presenting every conversion as finished.

FAQ

VouchRow vs Documentric: questions

How much does Documentric cost?

Their published plans are $19 a month for 300 pages, $49 for 900 and $129 for 2,500, with extra pages at $0.10 and annual billing at two months free, as read in October 2026.

You are copying their page structure. Why should I trust your comparison?

Because we are saying so. Their vertical and feature pages are a better idea than what we had planned, and we adopted them. Where they are ahead, this page says they are ahead.

What does "reconciliation at the row" actually change?

On a statement of 180 transactions with one misread digit, an aggregate check tells you the total is out by some amount. A row-level check tells you it is row 47, and shows you what the bank printed on that line so you can fix it in seconds.

Do they support Tally or Quicken?

Not from what they publish. Their exports are CSV, Excel and QBO as of October 2026. Check their site before relying on this.

Does Documentric categorise transactions?

Their site lists automatic categorisation as coming soon. Here you can label selected rows in bulk before export; we do not categorise automatically, by design, because a wrong category is silent and a missing one is not.

How this page was researched

Everything here about other tools was read from their own public pricing, product and help pages in October 2026. We did not create accounts, so nothing on this page claims anything about their accuracy, their output quality or their support — only about what they publish. Prices change; check theirs before deciding.
